From her childhood memories, she embarks on a journey to delve deeper and find answers to her social and ecological concerns. <\/p>\n\n<p>But as she investigates her doubts, listening to local communities, scientists and farmers, she is confronted with the growing expansion of intensive irrigated monocropping in the Alentejo region, the disruption of freshwater ecosystems, the loss of biodiversity and the encouragement of the construction of more dams for irrigation purposes in Portugal.<\/p>\n\n<p>Could it be that using more ecological, sustainable and less water-dependent agricultural practices, in addition to efficient water management, is not a alternative to dealing with water scarcity?<\/p>\n\n<p>\u201cUp to the last drop&#8221; proposes to rethink the way we produce and consume, respecting the natural cycles of soil and water as essential measures to preserve rivers and overcome the effects of climate change.<\/p>\n\n<p><em>The session will be attended by the director and actress Carla Chambel.<\/em><\/p>\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/CmCic95WihU\"><strong>Watch Trailer<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n<p><em>CINEMA IN DEBATE<\/em><\/p>\n\n<p><em>In addition to the films competing in the different competitive sections, CineEco also programs works that complement the discussion around pressing environmental issues, such as the debate sessions attended by filmmakers and other guests from the field.
