Upon arriving in the capital, Irma feels alien to this new environment; the change of language, the pollution, and the constant traffic seem very different from her home. As Irma walks through the streets of the city, she begins to establish a dialogue with herself in her native language, chinanteco. She completed the following diplomas: &#8220;Experimental Animation&#8221;, &#8220;Stop Motion Animation Production&#8221; and &#8220;Art Toy Creation&#8221; at Cinemafantasma Edu. She completed the &#8220;Stop Motion Animation&#8221; diploma program at Graco Films, held at Churubusco Studios. and the &#8220;Animation Workshop&#8221; with animator Paulina Ziolkowska. She has had master classes with people such as: Luis T\u00e9llez (stop motion animator and Ariel Award-winning director), Melanie Combs (Producer of the feature films &#8220;Mary &amp; Max&#8221; and &#8220;Pinocchio&#8221; by Guillermo del Toro) and Tim Allen, animator of Corpse Bride and Fantastic Mr. Fox ACADEMIC BACKGROUND EXPERIENCE ANTONIA SILVA ALVARADO AWARDS<br\/>Perfil Profissional: Antonia Sof\u00eda Silva Alvarado is a Mexican filmmaker and stop-motion animator. She has worked as an animator on nationally and internationally acclaimed independent short films, as well as on the series &#8220;Mujeres con Hombreras&#8221; (2025) produced by Adult Swim and HBO Max, and on the first Mexican stop-motion film, &#8220;Soy Frankelda&#8221; (2025). She has been selected for the FONCA Young Creators program and for Talents Guadalajara at the Guadalajara International Film Festival (FICG), 38th edition.
