The imagery and memories are captured in fiction films, documentaries, propaganda, science and families. These records convey to us memories of a dizzying and challenging Mountain, inspiring and reckless, fiery and icy, fragile and resilient. A place of work and life, venerated and codified in cinematic discourse, capturing landscapes and communities that become imprints on the earth\u2019s glow and challenge us to find innovative ways of viewing the natural and cultural landscape of the Estrela.<br\/>This session features a discussion with the historian and researcher Helena Gon\u00e7alves Pinto.   <br\/><br\/>This \u2018Classic Cinema\u2019 screening comprises a collection of four documentaries about the Serra da Estrela:<br\/>\u201cPaisagens da Serra da Estrela\u201d (1921) &#8211; Copy digitised by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cinemateca.pt\/\">Cinemateca Portuguesa \u2013 Museu do Cinema<\/a>, as part of the Recovery and Resilience Plan.
