Des Rives

Billie-Jazz is an environmental educator and mother of a four-year-old who happily shares her enthusiasm for all the magic that secretly happens in the Earth’s biosphere. Recent discoveries related to issues threatening the St. Lawrence River, a waterway to which she is deeply connected, lead her to question our relationship with the Earth’s biosphere. She leaves Kamouraska, where she lives, and travels along the banks of the river, from the Mingan Islands to Montreal, where she meets people who are taking concrete steps to protect our great jewel of Quebec. Whether it’s cleaning up waters contaminated by microplastics or taking an activist stance, Billie’s quest immerses us in the urgency of saving our marine territory.
