Storm is an original creation by conductor and composer Armando Mota, who warns of global warming and rising sea levels, focusing on what could be the future of the islands of Culatra and Armona.
Inspired by classics such as Romeo and Juliet and West Side Story, the work takes on a strong Algarve feel, just as Strawinsky and Bartók drew on the traditions of their countries.
Quorum Dance Company presents this new creation, with choreography and concept by Daniel Cardoso, premiered in 2025 at Teatro das Figuras (Faro). A cultural affirmation of the Algarve and an appeal to raise awareness about climate change.
