Documentary feature about the Austrian naturalist Johann Natterer, a member of the Austrian Expedition that accompanied the Archduchess Leopoldina on her journey to Brazil in 1817. Among the members of the Austrian Expedition, he was the one who stayed the longest in Brazil: 18 years, which resulted in an impressive collection of over 50,000 objects, composing an immense Natural Collection and the largest ethnographic collection on indigenous peoples of Brazil, now preserved in 2 of Vienna’s main museums, respectively in the Museum of Natural History and the Weltmuseum Wien.
