CineEco maintains a relationship of memory with Portuguese cinema by programming classics. In this edition, the festival will screen two films recently digitized by the Cinemateca Portuguesa – “Trás-os-Montes” and “Cerromaior”.
“Echoes of the mountains and the plains” allows us to review and interpret unique works of Portuguese cinema in the way they look at two large and broad territories, Trás-os-Montes and Alentejo, which even today preserve a strong environmental, rural and social identity that deserves to be valued in the face of new problems, challenges and opportunities.
This double screening also makes it possible to celebrate the 50th anniversary of April 25, 1974 through two cinematographic productions shot, produced and premiered in the midst of democracy.
