The Spirit of the Mountain brings together Portuguese and international artists who, through painting, sculpture, and installation, explore the mountain as a living being, a symbol, and a place of belonging.
Inspired by the Serra da Estrela, the exhibition offers a poetic reflection on the ancient imaginaries that dwell within these landscapes, portraying the mountain as a presence both delicate and powerful.
Part of the CineEco programme, this exhibition merges visual arts and cinema to highlight the vital role of nature and imagination in the ongoing struggle for environmental preservation. The mountain is not merely a place — it is a spirit that lives within us.
The exhibitions will open on October 11 at 2:30 p.m.
