Cláudia Marques dos Santos

Cláudia Marques Santos is freelance journalist based in Lisbon, whose work in the areas of culture and research has been published in the Observador, Público, Expresso, Diário de Notícias, Visão and LER. She is the president of the Projeto Inocência in Portugal, which carries out investigative journalism in cases of people who may have been wrongly convicted, and she was part of the first consortium of Portuguese journalists who investigated online hate speech perpetrated by the Portuguese police force. She has been awarded scholarships from the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, the Gabriel García Márquez Foundation and the Pulitzer Centre, and was a finalist of the European Press Prize 2024 in the Investigation category. She is a cultural journalism professor at the Nova University Lisbon and teaches journalism, hermeneutics and semiotics at Lusófona University.

Programador Daniel Oliveira

Daniel Oliveira

Daniel Oliveira has a doctorate in Media Arts and a master’s degree in cinema from the University of Beira Interior. Working as a critic since 2004, he is a member of the Brazilian Association (Abraccine), the International Federation of Film Critics (Fipresci), and has been a voting member of the Golden Globe since 2023. He has a degree in Social Communication from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG), a specialization in History of Culture and Art from the same institution, and a postgraduate degree in Screenwriting for Film and TV from the Humber Institute in Toronto. In Portugal, he collaborated on the programming jury for the Porto Femme festival, is part of the programming team for CineEco – Serra da Estrela International Environmental Film Festival and works as a translator and copywriter for the Curtas Vila do Conde and Porto/Post/Doc festivals. In Brazil, he was a freelancer for media outlets such as O Estado de S. Paulo, SET and Teorema magazines and, between 2012 and 2018, he was a reporter and critic for the newspaper O Tempo.

Tiago Alves

Radio presenter, journalist, cinema promotor and programmer. He has coordinated and presented CINEMAX since 2005, dedicated to cinema news and programming, online, which is transmitted on the Antena 1 radio channel, and also presents shortfilm sessions on TV channel RTP2. He organises, programmes and presents Shortcutz Ovar and is part of the team of curators of CineEco. For two decades he wrote regularly for the magazine Visão, the Jornal de Notícias newspaper and the digital magazine Metropolis. He likes to believe that movies are bigger than life, hoping that reality will become more surprising.
