Joaquim Marvão, the leader of the transhumance of Vilanova de Tazem, entrusts me with recording the descent of the herds, a centuries-old ritual in the Serra da Estrela. It’s the summer of 2022 and Portugal is facing a wave of devastating wildfires. Against all odds, Joaquim decides to carry out the descent, but something goes wrong during the recording.
