AGROECOLOGIA EM MOVIMENTO (Agroecology in Motion)

João Frade Garrinhas

An intimate look at the Portuguese movement that, from north to south, is revolutionizing the way agriculture is done and the relationship between producers and consumers, creating communities around food. A journey between urban and rural, extinction and regeneration, modern and traditional, center and margin. A film made and financed jointly by those who participate in it and support the association model for maintaining local agriculture, also known as community-based agriculture (CSA).
A radical practice of self-organization, mutual support, and dignity in rural life. An act of activism for systemic transformation towards food sovereignty: the right to decide what and how we produce what we eat and the right of access to the common good; land, water, and seeds for those who work with them; food for all.

CINEMA UNDER DEBATE

In addition to the films competing in the different competitive sections, CineEco also programs works that complement the discussion around pressing environmental issues, such as the debate sessions attended by filmmakers and other guests from the field. This year, there are four documentaries that propose to re-dimension the idea of landscape, be it wilderness, water and energy or culture.
