Photography exhibition.
The exhibition will open on 11 October at 2.30 pm

The landscapes of the serra da Estrela and the ways of life and traditions of its people reflect an intrinsic connection that has shaped the ‘Mountain of Portugal’ over centuries. Agricultural and shepherding activities, traditional knowledge and practices, tools of the trade and ways of utilising natural resources form part of this region’s tangible and intangible heritage. Rather than merely portraying the past, the ‘Ruralities’ exhibition seeks to highlight the importance of these practices in their relationship with the landscape, in the preservation of biodiversity and in the continuity of a cultural identity that remains alive and evolving.

This exhibition will remain at Seia’s Casa Municipal da Cultura until November 30th.
