Chasing an animal that constantly changes it‘s shape, the protagonist of this film won‘t stop until he has hunted it down, no matter the prize. And then- What will be left?
Filmmaker details: Astrid Rothaug

Astrid Rothaug,(1996) , is an Austrian animator and artist. She studied drawing and printmaking at the University of Applied Arts Vienna and, as part of an Erasmus exchange term, painting, at the FBAUL Lisbon. For her diploma project PUZZLING, she was awarded an incentive award in 2019. Her artistic approach is intermediary, mixing elements from painting, writing, filmmaking and printmaking in order to explore different ways of storytelling. Her animated short films have been funded by numerous scholarships and have received several national and international awards. Furthermore, they have screened at Festivals such as Fantoche, Animateka, Filmfest Dresden, Manchester Animation Festival, Hamburg Kurzfilmfestival and many more. They have also screened on national and international TV such as ARTE (DE & FR) or ORF (AT). Currently, she is developing a script for an animated feature film for young audiences. She is also a student at PixlVisn Mediaart Academy, studying 3D animation.
