TIC TAC TERRA is a stop-motion animated short film that follows a young lion on a journey through a world in constant transformation. Driven by curiosity and a desire to explore, he travels across different landscapes, encounters diverse forms of life and witnesses the fragile balance that sustains nature.
As the journey unfolds, the young lion becomes aware of the passing of time and the traces it leaves on the planet. Through a poetic and visually engaging narrative, the film invites audiences to look at Earth with wonder and responsibility, highlighting biodiversity, coexistence and environmental preservation. Project Details
Paulo d’Alva is a film director, producer, and teacher of Visual Arts and Animation Cinema. His work spans animation, experimental film, and arts education, combining creative practice with educational projects. He is the founder of Amarela Mecânica, through which he has produced and directed a variety of animation projects, distinguished by their exploration of different techniques and visual languages. His most recent productions include the short films A Última Meia, Submerso, Mar Alberto, and Tic Tac Terra. He is currently developing and in pre-production on the animated short film Antagonistas, while continuing to work on new animation and documentary projects. Alongside his filmmaking career, he has coordinated animation workshops and educational film projects in schools, promoting audiovisual literacy among children and young people. His films and projects have been presented at festivals, screenings, and cultural initiatives both nationally and internationally, reflecting a continuing interest in artistic experimentation, memory, and social and environmental issues.
